Good evening,
As a Safer Neighbourhood Team, our priorities are made through a combination of strategic direction, local community feedback, data analysis, and professional assessments.
One of our current priorities is speeding vehicles in the area, which we know many residents are concerned about. The current priorities we have are:
- Carry out regular speed enforcement in identified areas.
Due to this, average speed checks have been conducted in all of our areas within the last couple of days, with several vehicles being seen to drive over the speed limit. More of these will be conducted with the goal of prosecuting those who continue to break the speed limit.
Two illegal e-scooter were also spotted and seized. Please remember, e-scooters are classed as motorised vehicles which you require insurance for. Due to the current UK law, it is impossible to obtain insurance for these, and requires us to remove these from the streets.
